Identity in Christ
Identity in Christ — Galatians 2:20
Day 7: Living From Love, Not For Approval
Scripture of the Day: "…who loved me and gave himself for me." — Galatians 2:20d
As Paul closes this profound statement of identity, he returns to the unshakable foundation: Christ's love. This is not the love of a distant deity but of the One who "gave Himself" willingly, sacrificially, and completely — and He did it for you.
Many people spend their entire lives chasing approval — of parents, peers, society, or even God. The fear of not being good enough can drive performance, anxiety, and even religious activity. But the gospel says this: You don't need to perform to be loved. You are loved, and that love is what gives you identity and purpose. This understanding changes everything.
